Overview

We’ve added a new feature to the web app that makes it easier to keep track of important media items. Users can now tag media with any subject, even if they don’t yet have a pipeline in place. This means that whenever you come across an image or video you know will be useful later, you no longer need to copy links into a spreadsheet or keep separate notes. Instead, you can save it directly in the platform by associating it with a subject of your choice.

Why This Feature Was Built

Previously, the only way to retain this content was by manually tracking it outside the system, typically in spreadsheets. This was time-consuming and also made it easy for things to be lost or forgotten.

By introducing the ability to associate media with a subject, we’ve streamlined that workflow. Now, all the media you want to save for future labeling or testing can live inside the platform itself, neatly organized and ready when you need it.

How It Works

  • When viewing media, select “Associate with Subject.

  • Choose from your list of existing subjects.

  • There are no restrictions—any subject can be used, regardless of pipeline input or output.

  • Confirm your choice, and the system will attach the media to the subject, displaying a green success message.

  • Later, when your pipeline is ready, you can easily locate and use the media by subject.

Benefits for Users

  • Stay organized: Keep all media in the platform—no more external spreadsheets.

  • Flexible tagging: Assign media to any subject, independent of pipeline setup.

  • Plan ahead: Collect and prepare media before pipelines are complete.

  • Clear feedback: Each association is confirmed with a success message.
